Moncovo We rode to hear from Denno + Cles + Fondo + Mendel pass, but there's other possibilities. Waypoint Dermulo Cles Denno Toss Ton Rocchetta Spormaggiore what we remember doing here in 2005: Just after merging into the new main highway, see sign for Rocchetta, just above two half-circle traffic lanes with a parking area in the middle. Exit left from the main highway onto the half-circle with signs for “Cles” + “Passo di Tonale”. Just before the end of that half-circle, look straight across the northwest-bound traffic lanes and see the single-lane road going into the woods. It started rough + dirt, soon got better. alternate: to save a little distance, but miss a chance to ride thru a pretty vineyard, instead continue straight here. (if brought a snack with you, this could be a nice quiet spot for a picnic) Mezzolombardo alternate: to connect with rail trail going southeast, instead turn right here, a very short ways across the creek, left onto the bike path - (not checked by us ever). Waypoint alternate: if in a hurry, could instead continue straight here. Mezzocorona last time we had gelato here -- and the exterior dome and roof of the cathedral of Mezzocorona are remarkably beautiful.
