after an early morning start from Wassen, sun hits Titlis and other peaks north of Sustenpass
 

road climbing east side of Sustenpass is up on the north slope (see left), so there are
pleasant views of the valley below with its stream + farms + alternate road
 

peaks south from Sustenpass, another reward for the long climb
 

After descending west to Innertkirchen, our loop route climbs south to Grimselpass.
Cars use the new tunnel; bikes use the old road.

 where my loop route turned left to continue descending north back to Wassen.
