Tschierspitze V on the left as we hike up from the Grödnerjoch pass / Passo Gardena - (which we rode our bikes over just three days ago).  We approached the mountain from the grassy ridge on the its left.

plenty of scrambling moves to work out long before we get to the steeper cable-protected sections

family of five led by a mountain guide climbing ahead of us on the "via ferrata" section - (protected by steel cables which each person attaches themself to)

Ken on the "via ferrata" section, re-clipping his attachment slings (hidden behind him) to the next section of steel cable

Tony reaches the top of the main via ferrata section, with the Sella mountain group beyond him and the Sella Ronda road below on both sides - (Grödnerjoch / Passo Gardena on lower left part of photo)

the last short steep "via ferrata" section at the summit -- Tony is climbing on the rock, but attached to the steel cable with yellow slings for (partial) protection

from the summit southwest to Passo Sella (which we rode our bikes over three days ago, see farther road from left which cuts back sharply around the "corner" of the farther left-side mountains) -- with the Sasso Lungo (Langkofel) to its right and part of Sella group to its left.

Ken after moving off the Tschierspitze / Piz da Cir V summit (with cross) to a quieter rock

Tony makes the upper section of of the east-side descent gully easier by grabbing the cable and hanging back against it.

but still lots of careful down-walking moves needed after the gully gets less steep and there's no more cable

looking back up, we spot two climbers on the main "via ferrata" climbing section -- near the middle of the right-side horizon of the peak, just to the right of a wide dark groove
