Georges + Ken: This was my first tour from the quiet Champagny valley on the north side of the Vanoise. Georges had done it before, so he thought it would be good when we saw the next day's weather would be good. So we woke up at 4:15, drove to the trailhead, and it had variety + pretty views + a big downhill run.
